So it is now officially 8:34 AM over here in chi-town, and I’ve officially completed the second all-nighter of this week. The first one was on Monday night so that I could finish a certain paper due the following day in a certain Writting Course here at school. Last night I had to stay up all night because I forgot to study for my final Bio Lab practical thats today and me and my buddy who are in the same class just stayed in the common room trying to study. This “cram session” of course amounted to the equivelent of about an hour and a half worth of actual legitimate studying and for the most part we listened to retro 90’s music that we used to hear when we were really young at things like the rollar skating rink and such. Don’t get me wrong, the remenissing was very fun and we had a good time, but now I’m going to be really tired for no apparent reason because I’m a huge procrastinator. I only had one class on Wednesday and I should have been able to finish both my Math assignments due next week, study for my practical, and finish at least two of the American Politics assignments that are due next week at the final. Instead I putst around online playing dumb addicting games like bloons! all day and watching TV and going over to a buddys room and chilin. I didn’t even start my math with my other friend untill about two oclock that morning. Thus I put myself in the same predicament as I always do, and cornered myself into another all nighter. I guess I can only blame myself really. On the upside since I was awake I was able to goto breakfast here for the third time this year…just like the other two times, the food didn’t live up to the time you would have to wake up to eat it on a regular basis, so it will be a while before I do that again.
Hopefully I can somehow rally for this Exam and get awake and do well so as to start off college in a good way (GPA wise).
As this is the last Tumblr of the year I’d like to state that we had a good run, we’ve opened up the public’s mind to my (sometimes one sided) college football critisisms, and hopefully you now know what team is really the team amongst all others…

Well it seems that quite a lot of things are coming to an end in the very near future. First and most obvious here on campus is the fall semester. Only one more week of class after tomorrow and then finals and Christmas (yeah I said Christmas and not Winter because that’s what I grew up on) Break is finally here. I still have to write the paper in the College Writing Seminar class we all know and love; I finally decided on my topic for good which is a nice start. I will be comparing and contrasting the pros and cons of the current BCS (Bowl Championship Series) of NCAA Division 1 Football with the proposed switch to ultimately turn to a playoff system for this division. I also still have to do some homework assignments in American Politics and Calculus II, and one more OWL assignment in Chemistry but other than that, as far as homework is conserned, I believe I’m in the clear.
Also this weekend marks the end of the regular schedule and conference championships of College Football. This is the last week for the standings to change and teams to make their run at a number of given bowl games. Most notibly is the Big 12 Championship which is this Saturday at 8:00 PM Eastern (so 7:00 PM Central) between #9 Oklahoma and #1 Missouri (on ABC). Oklahoma won the first meeting between these two teams earlier in the year, and if Missouri can pull it out this saturday then they will be in the National Championship. If they loose however, most likely instead of Missouri vs. West Virginia for the Title game, it will probably be Ohio State vs. West Virginia. And if you want to know how i feel about WaVa (West Virginia) being in the title game just simply see my last post to find out how much I don’t believe that they deserve that honor.

Well what can I say, you got to love holiday breaks from school. Now you would think that this would have been a nice week of relaxation and rest…however that is very far from the truth of what actually happened. I ended up getting talked into taking a 12:30 train out of Union to go home Tuesday night by my brother so I didn’t even get home till 1:30 Wednesday morning. Then on Wednesday me and my buddies from back home all played in a Turkey Bowl, it was a whole lot of fun, but I’m still sore in some areas because of all the hitting. Thursday was fun because all I had to do was sit around and eat. Friday I went out and shopped a little bit and then just kind of sat back and did nothing to relax. Saturday we went up to U of I to watch my buddies kid brother play in the IHSA 8A State Championship game with his team Glenbard North. They ended up kind of getting killed by Naperville North, but me and a few of my friends got a hotel and still had fun that night. Now its Sunday and I’m back from U of I sitting at my house watching the Bears game. I have yet to start my Politics group project that I need to have a rough draft done by tomorrow, and probably won’t be back to school where I’ll be able to work on it better until later tonight. I guess it was some bad planning on my part to not have even started at an earlier date, but whats done is done so I’ll probably just have to end up pulling an all nighter to get the job done. All in all it was a solid break.
In other news LSU lost so i was very happy, but Texas also lost to Texas A&M, so that was a shot that put me down a few notches. People are now saying that West Virgina will now be placed into the National Title shot, and thats even a worse tragedy then what I was complaining about with LSU. If Missouri can some how beat Oklahoma in the Big 12 Championship game they’ll also pretty much be a lock for the National Title game which is well deserved after the season they’ve had. Only time will tell what actually is going to happen.

$6.99 for a thing of NyQuil in the Southside Market at the bottom level of simpson. It’s not even a big bottle of NyQuil either though, its like the small one maybe VICKS version of a portable version, at most I’m predicting that I have 5-6 uses out of this bottle that I just spent a fortune on. The bag of chips I bought along with the medicine only cost around two dollars in comparison so it’s all the worse. I shouldn’t even have had to buy the NyQuil, but I’ve been so sick lately with a sore throat and cough that I’ve only gotten about four hours of sleep in the last two days. Now I’m going to go and try to do some homework and figure out what classes I should take next semester so that I’m ready for my scheduleing appointment Friday before i take the medicine and ultimetly hopefully fall asleep with ease.
Wierd story…I was in my writing class today and my teacher was just drinking a whisky and coke while talking about how we should all just belive in God on the off chance that religion is truth so that we can use a loop hole and not go to hell by doing so. You just don’t expect something like this to happen on a day to day basis or maybe even ever in your life (and yes for the record I’m just kidding, but both of those subjects did come up in disscussion today).
On another note, LSU is now ranked second in the BCS and Oregon is third. We can only hope that LSU looses to whoever they play in the next couple of weeks so that a team that actually deserves to be in the National Championship game will end up being there (in my oppinion). Texas in the latest bowl projections looks to be playing in the Holiday Bowl against USC which will draw alot of attention and get alot of ratings because it is a rematch of the recent 2005 National Championship where UT took USC to town as underdogs to show the nation who the best team in the land really was. It will be a good game though becuase USC is a young talented squad that I have nothing against…just when you mess with Texas, you get the horns. And yes, Michigan is still ranked above Texas (#12 and #14 respectively) and I just can’t grab a hold of why in the world this could possibly happen.
On a lighter note, me and my buddy Ryan have now beaten the Halo 3 game that I picked up this weekend while at home.

I was walking back to my room earlier when I peeked into my buddies room and found him asleep on his bed. I had a water bottle in my hand and thought that the best decision was to pour some water on his stomach and scare him a little bit. Just as I thought after I poured a little bit of cold water on him he woke up and gave a little horizontal jump on his bed. He knew that I got him so we both just laughed about it and I went on my way back into my room. It was pretty much a mutual understanding that he was going to pay me back eventually and I would just have to wait it out to see when he would get me. Little did I know when I went to take a nap about a half an hour ago he was on his way and decided after seeing me sleeping to pay it back right now. I was awoken to about a forth of a water bottle being poured on me while in slumber. I guess the moral of this story is that if you can’t stand the heat of you actions…lock you door when you goto bed, or at least tell you roommate that your buddy is up to no good and to put the nix on him before he can preform his duty of payback.
Moving back to college football and the BCS, how in the world is #12 Michigan (7-2) ranked over #15 Texas (7-2) when they lost to Appalachian State and Texas has lost to Kansas State and #6 Oklahoma, it doesn’t make sense. Also #3 LSU (7-1) is still ranked over #5 Oregon (7-1) and #6 Oklahoma (7-1) when both of those teams look much more impressive as a whole than LSU. LSU is also above #4 Arizona State (8-0) which would be understandable talent wise…but ASU is undefeated and should be over a LSU at the moment no matter what. Thank God that #2 Boston College (8-0) finally moved passed them because if there were two LEGITAMATE programs that were undefeated (not scrub conference teams) and behind LSU I would definitely be really pissed. Although I’m not a fan #1 Ohio State (9-0) does deserve their ranking…but live it up because Texas is coming for that top spot next year…trust it.

So Halloween is here this weekend (or at least the Halloween parties are), and I somehow am now going to miss it. I totally forgot that the weekend before the actual date is when all of the parties would be thrown so I blindly promised my little brother to come home and watch his pee-wee football playoff game on saturday. Don’t get me wrong I’d actually rather go home this weekend because I need a weekend off where i can just go and relax (not to mention the lack of water and gatorade in my room at the moment) but it’s just the principle that since I’m gone, odds are something epic will happen this weekend. I guess thats the way it goes sometimes though, you win some you loose some…but at the end of the day you just have to make sure the thing you choose to do is what you would rather do over the other thing. I think that I made the right decision.
My best friend from back home is going to see his little brothers high school playoff game tonight and I guess it’s at Whitney Young high school or something like that, so rather than pay for train fare I’m going to take the train and buses for 50 minutes tonight and watch that game too so he can give me a ride home…I guess thats a plus though, should be fun.
Well it’s that time of the week again and I’m ready to type this Tumblr up. I know that people keep mentioning that they haven’t done their Tumblrs for weeks on end during class and we all have a good chuckle, but what really is the problem. I almost forget every week so i sympathies in that regard, I’m just wondering what the difficulty is, because people talk about what a pain it is to write them, in reality this is one of my best assignments because all I have to do is vent about whatever I’m thinking at the moment. Now I’m going to to watch “Waiting” and fall asleep, tomorrow is a non-college football recoup day.

First off the Red River Shootout I hyped up so much last week wasn’t even broadcast over here. I’ve never been more pissed off in my life over a TV channel. The Cubs Lost and then the Longhorns lost, thank God that the Bears finally pulled one out (especially against Green Bay) because it let me keep the little bit of sanity I had left towards sports in tact. I had to simply watch a game-cast of the game I look most forward to each and every year…it was awesome yeah! Well since the Texas Longhorns ended up getting beat last week my hopes for UT to obtain the National Title again this year is once again gone. They are now ranked 23 in the AP Poll and at best can now just fight to get into a bowl game, but it probably won’t be a major one they receive, just a scrub one to get some money of TV through a reputable program people will want to watch. At least it’s Friday and I’m done with all of my classes, I can now concentrate on just sitting around doing nothing and having a lot of fun in the process with no worries…that is until tomorrow when i will probably find out that Texas is once again not broadcast on our region of ABC or whatever station is covering the game this week. I also just passed on Notre Dame tickets for this weekend that I probably should have taken, not so much that i like the team all that much cause I really am not a big fan, but because my college doesn’t even have a team and it would’ve been nice to catch a live game in a stadium atmosphere this weekend because I’m beginning to have withdrawals from being in the mix of football like i had bee for the last like 10 years of my life. Oh well, maybe next week.
